The Baffler Launches Digital Subscriptions for Individuals and Institutions
The Baffler, the journal of art, criticism and political analysis that ‘blunts the cutting edge’, has launched digital subscriptions that are available for individuals and institutions through the Exact Editions platform. Subscribers can instantly access a rich and growing archive of back issues across web, iOS and Android devices.
Founded in 1988 by political analyst Thomas Frank, The Baffler is America’s leading voice of interesting and unexpected left-wing political criticism, cultural analysis, short stories, poems, and art. Published six times a year, the magazine is currently edited by Jonathon Sturgeon, headquartered in New York, and publishes both new and established voices including Barbara Ehrenreich, Susan Faludi, Evgeny Morozov, Rick Perlstein and Astra Taylor.
The Exact Editions platform, which prizes itself on creating aesthetically appealing and functional archives, gives a slick finish on the brand new resource. Not only is each and every contents page, URL and email address linked for enhanced navigation, a comprehensive search function means specific key terms can be located at the click of a button both in individual issues and across the complete back catalogue.
The Baffler is available in the Exact Editions individual and institutional shops here:
Publishing Coordinator Rosalie Ryan commented: “We’re delighted to have opened the door to the digital market and are particularly excited to work with Exact Editions in extending The Baffler’s reach into institutional libraries, so we can ensure the magazine’s content is read by as many eyes as possible.”
Managing Director of Exact Editions, Daryl Rayner, said: “The engaging content and compelling covers of The Baffler look brilliant in this new digital format. The archive, especially given its advanced search functionalities, will serve as a valuable resource to anyone interested in political criticism.”
