New Internationalist, the independent publication that for over 40 years has reported on critical global issues with facts and heart, has today announced the launch of the magazine’s complete digital archive.

Since the first published issue in 1973, New Internationalist has pioneered truly global journalism that exposes human and environmental injustice. Grassroots, global voices and thoroughly researched infographics bring stories to life and provide fresh perspectives on complex issues. With the completion of this comprehensive archive digitisation project, the forward-thinking publication has worked in partnership with Exact Editions to ensure that every issue of the complete historical backfile is available to subscribers at the touch of the button, wherever they may be.

The newly launched archive proudly displays the magazine’s history as an easy-to-use searchable database, so that over 500 issues of this influential publication are instantly available to subscribers across web, iOS and Android platforms. Every issue is displayed as it would have been printed originally, and enhanced with page links and search to ensure readers, researchers and writers can easily access the treasure trove of content throughout the archive.

Subscriptions to the New Internationalist with full access to the archive are available for academic and research institutions. Institutions will be particularly keen to note that full IP authenticated access is available so that each article of every issue can be browsed with unlimited usage on the full range of digital platforms.
