This book therefore, is not a point-by-point listing of how to construct a garden railway in a particular way. In model railway terms, ’realism’ is very hard to define and even more difficult to capture, but Ian Stock’s struggle to produce railway ambience in what (it has to be said) was a very unpromising plot, is described herein.
