THE STEWARDS' CUP FINISH : PERHAPS SO'S WIN FOR LADY NUNBURNHOLME.

With the Dowager Lady Nunburnholme winning the Stewards' Cup with Perhaps So and Mrs. A. James taking the valuable Gratwicke Produce Stakes with her filly, Cymophane, lady owners did well on the opening day at Goodwood, not to mention the fact that Mrs. J. B. Joel also won a small race during the afternoon. Our picture shows Perhaps So winning the Stewards' Cup from Lt.-Col. Birkin's Edwina and Mrs. Bancroft's Purple Shade. This was a case of a I00 to 6 horse beating a 50 to I runner-up. Ethnarch started favourite.
