CORONACH'S TRIUMPHANT PROGRESS : HIS GREAT ECLIPSE STAKES VICTORY.

The King and Queen were at Sandown Park to see Coronach win the Eclipse Stakes, the richest race of the year and worth £12;316, in a canter. Lord Woolavington's Derby winner made the running from the starting post and his latest victory establishes him as the best colt of his age, and one of the most brilliant three-year-olds the turf has produced for some years. Coronach was fancied so strongly as to be backed down to start at 5 to 2 on. A coloured portrait of the colt will be found on a later page of this issue.
