This so far invincible young colt has given several brilliant displays, and as usual he eclipsed the opposition last week in the Palatine Nursery at Manchester-his fifth victory of the season. He only cost £200 as a yearling at the Dublin sales and is perhaps the best two-year-old we have had during recent years. Diomedes will have one more race this season, at Hurst Park, and therefore looks like going into winter quarters without a blot on his escutcheon.
