We anticipate a record attendance, As has been customary during recent years we include in this issue the Annual Report and Accounts of the Association for the year 1954 which will be presented to the 1955 Annual Meeting, Although time is fast running short - it lacks but two weeks before the meeting - we hope that these reports will reach members carly cnough for them to study them before the meeting. We have an offer for the position of librarian; details are now being worked out by the Committee andan announcement will be made later, See the note at page 98 of our November- December 1954 issue. An important function of the Annual Meeting is the appointment of a Management Committee, consisting of a President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and two (or more Committeemen, to look after the affairs of the Association for the ensuing twelve months. Much depends upon these appointments, particularly the President and the Secretary, Members, in their own interests, should therefore carefully consider the election of these officers; no nominations have been received at the date of writing these notes, We feel that it is desirable that the principal officers should be in office for more than a twelve-months'’ term to maintain continuity of action; furthermore there is a_ tendency to send subscriptions and other communications to the same person as they sent the previous one irrespectiveofchanges, March-April 1955 Page 13
